Is Everything Yellow Now?

 Yellow-Themed Projects

I love yellow so, so much. It has been my favorite color since I was a young girl. I remember when I was in kindergarden or first grade, my parents threw me a yellow-themed birthday party. It was wonderful.

I've seen many photos of cute rainbow things like baby blankets and I've always been interested in making one. Because coasters are less commitment, and just as useful as blankets, I decided to make coasters instead.
Depending on how much more yarn I have in these colors, I might make a matching dishtowel and sell or gift them as a set.

This yellow granny stitch bucket hat was a project out of left field for me. I wanted a relatively quick and easy project and because I like the granny stitch and stripes, I decided to try this pattern out by Knotting Hook Crochet. It's a really great pattern.

All I did was remove the last increase round for both the crown and the brim of the hat. I'm so pleased with how it turned out. I didn't think I would wear this hat much, but since it's yellow and blocks the sun, it has turned out to be my favorite summer hat for sure.

This is me wearing the full outfit. This is my favorite outfit of the summer for sure.
