This blanket was started by Maria and I during May 2023. We found a color palette we liked, bought the yarn, and tracked how many squares we made with a spreadsheet. I got a lot of the squares done during camps and free times. After finishing all of the squares later that year, it took us many more months to put all of them together. We used a Continuous Join as You Go method using single crochet to put the squares together. Having only one end to weave in was the goal, but we ended up with around 3.
This is a quality made crocheted blanket that took 1 year to finish, 27 hours to make the squares, a untracked amount of money to make. A lot of love, care, and discipline was put into making this blanket. Although it can technically be put in the washer, I wouldn't guarantee it's gonna be okay.
