Flower and Heart Crochet Pillows!
I absolutely love these pillows. I've been wanting to decorate my couch with cute pillows and because of my new opportunity to re-decorate, I took a chance and actually did it.
The Flower Pillow pattern came from YouTube. Making the petals was not hard, but adding the center was not fun. I did not follow the instructions the right way and made it harder for myself.
I want to say that I would make another, but I probably won't unless someone is paying. I held two strands of Hobby Lobby's "I Love This Yarn in "Ivory" and "Yellow". I love the yellow. It's such a sunny, happy yellow and I can't wait to use it more.
Because it's two strands of weight 4 yarn and a 5mm hook, it's sort of a hefty pillow. It's a good size to throw at somebody. It's also a great size to cuddle with.
I had a surplus of Hobby Lobby's "Velvety Smooth" in "Blush". I wanted to make another flower pillow, but I wouldn't have enough for sure. I found a pattern for this plush heart on a blog, but lost the link. A comparable free pattern is This One on the blog Loops and Love Crochet.
I used a 4.5mm hook for this pattern. If you can notice, my tension got more loose at the bottom. I'm not sure why. Unlike the other heart pillow, I think I will make another one of these for sure.
